I know you can't really read this beer truck sign very well -- one really shouldn't try to take a picture with their phone while driving -- but I just loved the message - Follow your folly - ours is beer.
What does it look like to 'follow your folly'? According to the dictionary, folly means having a lack of good sense, foolishness. Perhaps sometimes following our dreams might appear to others as following our folly and if that's the case follow away. To me, follow your folly sounds fun!!
I believe I'm living my life following my folly, and I'd so like to express my gratitude for all that is coming my way:
- a meeting on Sunday with an absolutely lovely couple about their October wedding
- a super fun weekend with my grandson -- lots of play, lots of laughs, lots of fun conversation
- my supportive and loving family - daughter, son, sisters, friends
- the joy I am experiencing preparing to lead a workshop on Love this Saturday as well as the sheer excitement and honor of performing a re-commitment ceremony for dear friends - all at Lake Tahoe!
- my ever present ability to learn and grow, however painful it may be sometimes and to listen to my own voice.
- the first official day of Summer which I celebrated by driving the freeway with all the windows and the sunroof open, hair blowing everywhere! Liberating!
What's your folly? Are you following it? And how will you celebrate summer, a season that can't help but feel like a warm sunshiny party?
