Cindie is absolutely amazing! She was the first Celebrant that we contacted when we were planning our wedding (miles away in Canada) and we knew instantly that she was someone very special and was the one to tell our story. She is the sweetest and most genuine person you will ever meet. Our ceremony was beyond perfect!! She had our loved ones captivated from the very beginning and she shared many of our memories that began way back in High School (our wedding was 12 years in the making, so there was a lot of history) and she wove it all together seamlessly. Cindie is a wonderful, naturally spiritual person. She captured the essence and meaning of our wedding in the way that felt right for us. She is warm and sincere and got to know us so that she could tell our story in a way that fit into our private wedding ceremony perfectly. We wanted to be married up on an overlook of Yosemite Valley that required some hiking, and she was absolutely open to that. We had to hike across wide creeks, get through mud and snow to get to the spot and not get dirty! And that’s what we did. Cindie was perfectly fine with standing barefoot out on the rock overlook close to the edge with us. She made our wedding day adventure possible!

Cindie was absolutely wonderful to work with and I wouldn't have wanted anyone else as our celebrant! She thoughtfully got to know my fiancé and I and crafted a beautiful ceremony for us. I'm a writer and so had minor contributions of my own, which she was super amenable to. Overall, she was a joy to work with! Susan and Alan, above, were married at the Sequoia Mansion in Placerville and were such a fun couple to work with, wanting all the traditional pieces to be done untraditionally ie. "you may kiss your groom" and for rehearsal, we all dressed in costume. They did best 2 out of 3 of rock, paper, scissors to see who said their vows first and there was a fun and light-hearted feel throughout.

We cannot say enough about how great Cindie is. From our first meeting, we were both sure she was the officiant we wanted. I get to know you so that I can write your love story. My process involves asking a lot of questions and getting to know you both individually and as a couple. I find out your vision for the ceremony and tailor-write your ceremony to fit you. It's a collaborative effort and it's the perfect kind of ceremony for the couple who want a ceremony that is as you unique as you are.

"My husband and I are from St. Louis and we wanted to get married in Yosemite. Our photographer provided a list of officiants he recommended, so I explored those options. I am sure they are lovely people, but for some reason I did not feel like they were right for us. I was looking for that "click factor" but I did not feel it. I was starting to get a bit despondent so started looking for other options. As I learned about Cindie, I started feeling butterflies of excitement. But I wasn't sure if she would travel to Yosemite or if I could afford her services! I sent the email anyway, and she replied quickly! From that first email, I knew she was THE person to guide us through that sacred ritual. She was warm, positive, accommodating, & professional. Once we booked her, the relationship did not change. I have sometimes found that vendors are all about "customer service" until you sign the contract. Then the VIP treatment disappears. This was NOT the case with Cindie. I always felt that our ceremony was just as important to her as it was for me. Cindie's process of getting to know us was thorough & a lovely experience. She made being out of state seem like not a big obstacle. Once we sent back all of our information, she was quick writing a beautiful ceremony. She had given us final edit rights, and that knowledge was liberating. As I read the first draft of what she had written, I had tears in my eyes. It was just beautiful, intimate, and unique. She was open & accommodating to the suggestions & edits I had for the next 2 versions. She did her research, & we ended up with an amazing ceremony. I am not easily impressed, but Cindie definitely impressed me. Although I met her on my wedding day for the first time, I felt like we were old friends and I could trust her to take us across that sacred threshold. As our ceremony unfolded, I was serene and at peace listening to her words. She has a gentle yet exuberant energy about her. Working with her was a joy from start to finish. "We were looking for someone who could provide a secular service and found Cindie by doing a thorough internet search. My wife and I are in our 40s and we were looking for something as simple as could be and found that most other officiants were offering much more than we were interested in. We spoke with several prospective officiants and Cindie was the only one willing to work with us to scale things down to what we wanted.
We didn't have groomsman or bridesmaids, it was just my wife and I with our two kids. Total number of guests was 21. We only met with her once face to face before the wedding and that was all we needed to know we could trust her to officiate our happy day. We exchanged edits on the ceremony working in conjunction with Cindie.
The day of the ceremony, which was held at La Provence in Roseville, everything went off perfectly. Cindie was warm and wonderful. From this meeting and our questionnaires, Cindie wrote the initial draft of our ceremony. My fiance and I absolutely loved sitting down together to read it! Cindie beautifully combined the story of how we met, how we fell in love, the proposal, etc. and it was evident that she had taken great care to include everything that mattered to us as a couple. With just a few emails back and forth, we had our final ceremony. We received SO many compliments on our wedding ceremony, both that day and ever since. Everything went incredibly smoothly, and Cindie was such a calming presence that day.
I should also mention that Cindie attended and led our ceremony rehearsal the previous night. She did such a perfect job of walking our entire wedding party through what to expect. I was so thankful for her leadership and patience with us!

We liked the idea of a simple, personal, emotional ceremony, with just the right amount of spirituality and religion sprinkled in. Something that would make our guests feel engaged in the process, and the energy/vibe positive and lighthearted. We also wanted to complement the theme which was organic, rustic and elegant.
We set out trying to find the right person for this eclectic mix of needs, which was not easy! Luckily for us, the owner of Park Winters recommended Cindie Wilding, Certified Life Celebrant as someone who he thought would gel with our personalities and unique requirements. We met with Cindie (via Skype) and downloaded her on our ideas. She immediately got it! It was as if we had known her for years. This was a huge relief for us as we were quite stressed and only a couple of months until the wedding. By the end of our call, we had a really good feeling about Cindie, and her ability to take all of our ideas and turn them into something personal and special.
Over the next few weeks, my fiancé and I answered a long set of questions, specifically designed to understand us, the couple and build the ceremony around our personal characteristics. This was an incredibly thorough process and it did take time, but the results were well worth it.
Fast forward to a year later---our wedding day! We can honestly say that it was absolute perfection. Cindie was amazing! The ceremony went flawlessly and it was everything we could have ever wished for. It really felt like US, genuinely true to our personalities, with special stories woven in like a well written story, which kept our guests interested and evoked positive energy and love. I had many family members and friends approach me afterward and tell me it was the best ceremony they had ever witnessed. We were/are beyond happy with our choice to work with Cindie and will cherish the memories for the rest of our lives." ~Holly & Dave

She took our story and thoughts by having us answer personal questions and turned it into a beautiful ceremony. She also helped us create a unique unity ceremony by taking an idea we had and expanding it beautifully! We wanted a romantic and lighthearted ceremony and that is exactly what we got.
